There's Something I've Been Dying To Tell You topped the UK best–seller lists after the author's death from cancer, aged 66, a few weeks after its publication.
She had initially been diagnosed with cancer in July 2013. In August 2014 she announced that she had decided to stop her chemotherapy in November, so that she could have "one last Christmas" with her family and die in January 2015. She made a last appearance on Loose Women, on which she had been a regular from 2007 to 2011, but she died in a London hospital on 19 October 2014.
